This was our second or third visit to Sabri Nihari and it is always delicious. There are many vegetarian options which was good for me. I accidentally left this review in draft forever!

Man, this food was great. I got the beef Nahari and chicken biryani. Nice and spicy the way I like it. What a great find.

For years, the whispers of Sabri Nihari's legendary nihari (slow cooked beef stew with bone marrow) had reached my ears. Nestled in Chicago's vibrant Devon Street neighborhood, this Pakistani restaurant promised an authentic taste of the subcontinent. Stepping into the spacious, impeccably clean dining room, I was greeted by a menu brimming with South Asian specialties. My mission, however, was singular: the nihari. The nihari ($16) arrived, a steaming revelation. This slow-cooked beef stew, rich with aromatics and thickened with whole wheat flour, was a symphony of textures. The beef, fork-tender and deeply flavorful, melted in my mouth with each bite. The accompanying broth, a perfect balance of savory and spice, was perfect for soaking up with the pillowy folds of freshly baked naan ($2 each). While the portion appeared generous, it skewed broth-heavy, offering a few substantial pieces of beef. Sabri Nihari delivered a thoroughly satisfying nihari experience. It may not have dethroned a cherished Dubai favorite, but it stands proudly alongside the best offerings in my hometown of Southern California. For those seeking a taste of Pakistani comfort food in a welcoming atmosphere, Sabri Nihari is a must-visit.

Sabri has been remodeled and it's one of the finest looking restos du monde. The cuisine is exquisite! The service is impeccable! One of the finest restos du monde. My favorite dish is Kharahi Ghosht! It's similar to boeuf bourguignnon in France! Highly recommended.

This restaurant always has good food and good service. Best Nihari and kunna paya compared to any other in the block. The USP of this restaurant is that its always consistent in its taste and service.Very clean and organized.I have hardly seen this in any indian/pakistani restaurant.

Came by for lunch. Service was good, ambiance casual and the food was awesome. Behari kebab was wonderful, tenderness was just right and the heat was certainly present. Okra dish was the surprise because it was the unexpected highlight of our trip. Highly recommend it as well as the Paya, the kitchen here definitely puts love in their Paya. Squeeze a little bit of lemon and get transported lol. Certainly a repeat type of establishment.

Sabri Nihari Restaurant is a 25+ year favorite of ours for so many reasons. It's clean, all food flavors stay individual and consistent thru the years and service is excellent! We try other places but the path always leads us back to the reliable Sabri Nihari! They always meet our expectations with the generous portions of delicious food. Anything you order is going to be good! Naazir is an exceptional server here! Whenever we go we feel really good that's he's taking care of our table. We order a lot of entrees and he is always accurate with our orders and proactive to bring more water, napkins, extra plates etc... He checks on us several times to be sure we have everything we need. Service here is always good with everyone but ask for Naazir's section - he takes extra personal care to be sure you and your family enjoyed the meal!
